The Monasterio de Piedra - the stone monastery - is made yet more beautiful by the threads of water formed by the river as it passes the holy building. This limestone phenomenon adds to the majesty and spirituality of an exotic landscape of quiet shadows and the steady murmur of water.
At over 50 metres, the Cascada de la Cola de Caballo - the Horse Tail waterfall - is the most interesting in the area. In addition, the Natural Park is also home to mysterious grottoes and a natural pond of cristal water known as Lago Espejo (Mirror Lake); it also offers an interesting display of birds, with barn owls, eagles, eagle owls and vultures taking leading roles.
