A short drive inland from Alicante, we find this unusual museum dedicated entirely to footwear. From monarchs of Spain to the international golfer Severiano Ballesteros, from the actor Paco Rabal to the flamenco maestra Cristina Hoyos, the list of celebrities, artists and athletes whose shoes are displayed here seems endless.

Here you'll find creations by international designers including Salvatore Ferragamo, Sara Navarro and Ursula Mascaro, as well as displays honouring cities with a shoe-making tradition, indigenous shoes, and one that tells the story of humanity through their footwear.
