Far from being something the children will be bored by, a number of Spanish museums seem to have been designed specifically for the enjoyment of the whole family.

In the five unusual museums we have chosen here, you will find everything from Egyptian mummies to toys from all ages, musical instruments, shoes worn by famous people, cars embedded in concrete blocks or costume designs by Pablo Picasso. Some of them go even further and offer activities for visitors of all ages, including dramatised tours and workshops, many of them aimed specifically at the youngsters.
