Year round as the Lanzarote climate is sub-desert and there is very little rain. The average annual temperature is 20ºC and temperatures vary greatly between day and night.
Tips
Access to Las Montañas de Fuego (Tel. 928 84 00 56/57) - "the fire mountains" - is controlled from el Taro, which is the only entry point. An entrance fee of 6.60 € is payable.
On-foot guided tours are available (Littoral Trail and Tremasana Trail) setting out from the Mancha Blanca visitor centre.
To avoid the busiest periods of the day, it's best to visit first thing in the morning or between 1pm and 3pm.

The Littoral Trail is very difficult. It is imperative to wear suitable footwear and carry water and provisions. Any rubbish must be taken away with you.
