The park is home to rabbits, the Canary Islands long-eared bat, Delande's gecko, the Tenerife lizard and mice. there are also a wide number of birds, including the hoopoe, the great grey shrikes, Canarian pipits, long-eared owls, canaries, common kestrels, crows, warblers - including the spectacled warbler - sparrowhawks, blue tits, grey wagtails. blackbirds, chiffchaffs, rock doves, Barbary partridges, robins, the Fokien blue bunting, turtle doves and the plain swift. More than 400 species of insects have been identified in the park.

Above all, it's worth noting the endemic Tenerife lizard and the brilliant blue Teide bunting (fringilla teydea)
