What to see

Rodas Beach
Alongside the Cies island jetty stretches this vast white beach where you can enjoy the crystal-clear waters of Galicia. The beach formed as a result of the sea currents and it links the islands of Monteagudo and O Faro. Behind the beach lies the beautiful lake Lago dos Nenos. Near tot he rocks in the north are to be found impressive furnas - caves drilled by the sea.

Isla de Ons
The island is a truly romantic paradise with the ruins of the once famous salting industry, virgin beaches - including Melide, the most beautiful - the seaside cottages, the ruins of a convent and several well-preserved horreos - the typical local granary. The walk to the lighthouse is to be recommended, known as buraco do inferno, an immense hole 40 metres deep carved out of the rock by the force of the sea. Finally, of course, you shouldn't leave without trying the pulpo a caldeirada, the typical local octopus dish.

Isla de San Martiño
Separated from the other islands by a narrow strait and facing the Vigo estuary, the beach is frequented by naturists. Also known as Illa do Sur, there used to be a salting factory located here. The ruins of a tavern used by the settlers date from the same period.
