Best time to visit

• Each season offers a different view of the Doñana park. All of these are important, and each offers its own attractions. However, late autumn/early winter is one of the best times to visit. There are fewer visitors and the temperatures are usually very pleasant. It is also a good time to observe the birds who over-winter in the park - one of the particular pleasures of Doñana.

Tips

• It is advisable to book in advance for the companies who make the SUV tours as places are limited.
• Binoculars - which can be hired at the park - are practically an essential to observe the wildlife.
• All the Visitor Centres have removed architectural barriers to make them more accessible. The footpaths are provided with wooden surfaces and the observatories have wheelchair access.
• The visitor centres offer a selection of maps and pamphlets in  Braille.
