Getting there
Access to the Cabrera national park is by boat. Several companies offer excursions and ferry services from the ports of Colonia Sant Jordi (Excursiones a Cabrera: Tel. +34 971 64 90 34) and Porto Petro (Cruceros Llevant: Tel. +34 971 65 70 12). For private boat access, it is necessary to request permission from the park management before visiting.
Leaving Colonia Sant Jordi or Porto Petro and heading south, the first island is reached after about an hour's sail. This is na Foradada where one of the archipelago lighthouses is located. Further on lie S’Illot Pla, Na Pobra, Na Plana and L'Esponja, a group of islets which are reached before Illa dels Conills, the second largest, and Na Redona, nearer to the largest isle, Cabrera, from which the archipelago takes its name.
The arrival point is the natural harbour at Cabrera, on the northwest of the island. The Cap de Llebeig with its lighthouse are the reference points for boats wishing to enter in the port.
