The Port
Well protected by a narrow strait, this is the only inhabited centre on Cabrera. Here, the old headquarters still functions as well as a canteen, park offices and security centre. The Celler building, just under a kilometre away, houses a museum.
Castle
On the rocks overlooking the port is a fourteenth century castle which was heavily restored at the end of the twentieth century. On the walls the visitor can still read inscriptions carved by some of the thousands of French prisoners held there during the Napoleonic wars.
La Cova Blava
On of the best known tourist attractions is the Cova Blava ("blue cave"). This has the peculiarity of a floor which filters the light in such a way as to tinge blue anything which is submerged in the water here. The organised trails include a visit in the itinerary.
