The vast woodlands of Cabañeros national park include a variety of trees from holm oaks to birches, which thrive in the wetter gullies. There are also large areas of gall oak, quercus pyrenaica and cork oak. The thickets covering much of the sierra are composed of rock roses, heather and rosemary, and the wide plains are covered in sparse wood pasture. The park offers a very important diversity of flora, with around 750 species having been identified, 22 of which are classified as of special interest.
