• Spring and autumn when the countryside is full of colour and scent and the animals range the pastureland in full sight of the visitors.

Tips

• Take binoculars
• Birds are best observed in the early morning
• On the lowlands, in winter, look out for birds of prey perched in the gall oaks
• The recreation area at Tabla del Acebo, in Navas de Estena, has parking, barbecues and picnic facilities
• Between Pueblo Nuevo del Bullaque and Santa Quiteria is the Colonia de Las Cigüeñas Observatory

• It is necessary to plan your trip as the park authorities limit the number of visitors. All trips to the inner are of the park are with guides. Hikers should contact the Cabañeros National Park Administration Centre located in Pueblo Nuevo del Bullaque (Tel.: 926 78 32 97); off-road vehicle trails with the local cooperative Coserfo (Tel. 926 77 53 84).
