Casa Palillos Visitor Centre
Located five kilometres from Pueblonuevo del Bullaque, the visitor centre offers information about the natural, scenic and cultural values of the park. The centre has a permanent exhibition divided into thematic sections, a relief model and a film theatre. There is also a botanical trail, an observatory and a souvenir shop.

The rutting season
This natural show, starring the deer, takes places each year in September and October. This is the mating season for deer and the time of year when they are most readily visible - and when the stag's mating call is readily audible. Disputes between males are also common, when they interlock antlers and fight over the does.

Horcajo de los Montes
A typical village of the southern area of the Montes de Toledo and the region surrounding the park. The Guadalupe hermitage, set on the steep slopes of the Moros sierra where it offers an impressive view of the area, is a fine example of the local architecture. The 20 metre waterfall, El Chorro, is another of the most beautiful local spots.

River Estena
The river Estena rises in the Montes de Toledo, near Navas de Estena and flows to the Cijara reservoir in Badajoz. It waters the western edge of the park and its banks are home to beautiful woodlands. El Boqueron de Estena is one spot where the most notable elements of the river environment ca be appreciated.

Ethnographic museums
Both the ethnographic museum of Alcoba (Tel.: 926 77 02 16) and that of Horcajo de los Montes ( Tel.: 926 78 51 82), offer interesting visits, with permanent exhibitions about the Cabañeros park. Both museums have gift shops.

Fauna Museum
Located in Retuterta del Bullaque, this is an interactive museum which shows the visitor the types of animal to be found in the region. It also offers information on the wetlands of Cabañeros, as well as the main types of agriculture and livestock farming in the area, climate and soil. There is an area dedicated to the identification of the most common scented plants and shrubs of the region.
