Parking

• Private vehicles are not allowed into the park and should be left at the car park in Boi or Espot. From there you can walk, or cycle as far as the information centre at Aigüestortes and Sant Maurici, respectively. There are also off-road taxis available in both towns. Best time to visit

• Year round. In winter the park is usually covered by snow.

Tips

• Contact the national park centre at Boi (Alta Ribagorça) or Espot (Pallars Sobira) before visiting. They offer information about the specific services available including guides for hiking in the park. They also have maps and trail information, details of mountain refuges, weather updates and information about snow conditions including the risk of avalanches.
• It is advisable to be fully-equipped with boots, warm clothing, waterproofs and binoculars.
