
El Portarro d´Espot
The most usual tour of the park runs from the mountain refuge by the Sant Maurici lake to the pass at Portarron de Espot. The walk across the meadows of the Sant Nicolau valley, takes about an hour and a half and offers spectacular panoramic views with the Portarro peak (2,729 m.) in the background.
La Nutria trail
This route ("the Otter trail") leaves Boi and follows the course of the Sant Nicolau river, passing through beautiful forests and meadows. It passes close to the Sant Nicolau hermitage alongside the Llebreta lake, surrounded by magnificent flora. The Planell de Aigües Tortes is reached in less than two hours. The walker can then continue on, following the river as far as the Llong lake in its beautiful setting. Just 15 minutes further on the pi negro, the monumental black pine of Peixerani is to be found.
Amitges Refuge
This three-hour trail, with an altitude variation of 800 metres, is well signposted and offers a comprehensive view of the Escrita river valley. It starts at the Pierro meadow car park and includes seven lakes, with Els Encantats ever present. The viewing platform near the Ratera lake, offers a panoramic view of the lake with the figure of the monumental tree, the Pi d'Amitges on the right of the trail.
De la presa de Cavallers al lago Negre
A two-and-a-half-hour trail with altitude variation of 480 metres, this route offers the chance to enjoy some of the most impressive scenery in the park since this is the area where all the peaks over 3,000 metres are to be found. The trail sets out from the Cavallers lake, passing through the Riumalo plain bordering the lake. It leaves behind the waterfall of the same name and continues to las Llastres de la Morta. The trail climbs between granite rocks until it reaches the Negre lake. Here there is the chance to explore the highest lake area of the valley, including Travessani, Monges, Mangades...
El Circ de Colomers
IA circular trail taking about three hours which leaves from the refuge at Colomers and offers the opportunity to visit a large number of lakes of varying shapes and sizes including el lago Mort, el lac des Cabidornats, el lac deth Port de Colomers, Obago, Redon and Long, and el lac Major de Colomers.
