In the south of the province of Barcelona, at the mouth of the Llobregat, la costa del Garraf has cliffs in the north and small sandy coves further south. It's an ideal corner of the Mediterranean to enjoy the mild climate, warm beaches - with warm water! - lively marinas and major tourist centres.

On this coast, Sitges is a first rate cultural centre with its wide beaches, a historic centre known as "la Vila Vella", and beautiful modernist buildings. Most of all, though, it is famed for being the capital of freedom. A journey along the coast should not ignore other places of interest such as Villanova i la Geltru and the beaches of Castelldefells, Sant Pere de Ribes, Vilafranca del Penedes...
