Museo do Pobo Galego

The Museo do Pobo Galego - the Museum of the Galician People - is located in the Convent of San Domingos de Bonaval; it was founded in 1976 with the aim of investigating, preserving and disseminating all aspects of Galician culture.

Through a wide and varied display, it provides an overview of the most representative facets of local culture. The permanent exhibition rooms display various aspects of the maritime world, traditional crafts, the countryside, costume and popular architecture. There are also sections for archaeology, painting and sculpture.
