Right in the heart of the most typical area of the city, the statue of Eloy Gonzalo, the hero of Cascorro, is the meeting point for visitors to the Rastro, Madrid's weekly flea market. Every Sunday morning, traders set up their stalls in this colourful street market where you can find anything and everything. The market stretches along Ribera de Curtidores and adjacent streets and is home to the traditional Madrid roguery, as well as popular tapas bars with plenty of character.
