
By road
The A-3 provides a good road link to Madrid and the AP-7 (Autopista del Mediterraneo) is a fast route connecting the city to Catalonia in the north and Murcia and Andalusia in the south. There are also good cross country road links with Saragossa and Albacete. Long distance buses arrive and leave from la Estación de Autobuses (Av. Menendez Pidal, 11, tel. +34 963 46 62 66, metro Turia).
By plane
Manises airport (+34 961 59 85 00. www.aena.es) is eight kilometres from Valencia on the Madrid road and has daily flights to major Spanish and European cities. There are two metro lines connecting the airport with the city.
By boat
From the port (Estacion Maritima. Tel. +34 963 93 95 00. www.valenciaport.com) several companies make daily sailings to the Balearic Islands: Iscomar.com (tel. +34 902 11 91 28, www.iscomar.com), Trasmediterranea (tel. +34 902 45 46 45, www.trasmediterranea.es) and Balearia (tel. +34 902 16 01 80, www.balearia.net).
By train
The Estacion del Norte railway station (Jativa, 24, tel. +34 902 24 02 02, www.renfe.es), just a few steps from the Town Hall, is the terminus for all trains that connect Valencia with Madrid, Barcelona and Murcia. A high speed rail connection (AVE) is planned which will connect Madrid, Valencia and Barcelona.
