Belonging to the Dukes of Medinaceli, Seville's Casa de Pilatos is one of the most important noble palaces of Spain. Building began in 1521 under the instructions of Don Fadrique Enriquez de Ribera, Duke of Tarifa. It combines the Mudejar, late Gothic and early Italian Renaissance styles. Passing beyond the splendid Renaissance facade we reach the stables. The Mudejar courtyard, the most important area, is decorated with four Roman sculptures. The galleries and rooms that open into the courtyard hold collections of paintings and decorative objects from the last four hundred years.
