Faithful to the city's Muslim heritage, much of the old town of Toledo is in the style of a large bazaar with dozens of little speciality shops where you can buy different types of local craft products. Apart from marzipan and local produce - particularly wine, cheese and oil - swords of the type used in movies like The Lord of the Rings, and damascene - the beautiful decorative designs produced by interlacing gold on darkly oxidised steel - are two of the local craft specialities. Other artistic skills of the are include wrought iron, pottery (from Talavera and Puente del Arzobispo), embroidery (from Lagartera) and woodwork. The convents of St. Ursula, San Antonio, Santo Domingo el Antiguo or Capuchinas produce delicious convent pastries made with traditional recipes. The line through the streets of Comercio, Hombre de Palo, Trinidad and Sao Tome, connecting plaza de Zocodover with San Juan de los Reyes, is the main commercial centre in Toledo.
